Some children will have special needs during their schooling. We are constantly considering all pupil’s needs so that we can offer the best support for children, both those with learning difficulties and those who are physically able.
The school’s policy and practice involves a co-ordinator with responsibility for Special Educational Needs. Mrs. K Miller is the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator). The SEND policy is updated annually and is available below and also from the headteacher upon request.
This member of staff monitors the educational provision offered by the school, thus ensuring that pupil with special needs are given appropriate learning experiences and opportunities in accordance with the governments Code of Practice and Education Authorities documents.
