Midday school meals are cooked at school and are available to all children. The price of a school meal is £2.10.
From September 2014, all children in reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to a Free School Meal.
Free school meals for children in Key Stage Two should be applied for. Application forms for these are available at school.
Children may bring a packed lunch from home if parents prefer (no glass bottles please). We ask that there is no chocolate and only baked crisps in your child’s lunchbox.
All children who stay at school for the midday break are supervised by experienced supervisory assistants, and are not allowed to leave the premises during this period. At lunchtimes, any child who repeatedly shows behaviour that is unacceptable and who endangers themselves or other children by that behaviour, will not be allowed to have dinners at school.
We also provide fresh fruit daily for all children as part of the healthy eating campaign.
We are developing a strong emphasis on healthy eating in school. As such no sweets, pop or high fat and salt snacks are allowed.
Or school kitchen is halal. The company that supplies all our meat is HMC registered and has been approved by our governors. Should you wish your child to eat a non-halal meal, please let the office know and arrangements can be made to bring one in from one of our partner schools.
