The Royal Wedding Celebrations
On Friday 18th May, we celebrated the Royal Wedding of
Harry and Meghan.
To celebrate, the children enjoyed morning activities held in the classrooms and during the afternoon they were treated to music provided by our very own drummers and a disco.
Thank you to all the children, parents and staff who made the day a great success.

We are very grateful to ASDA for choosing Salisbury Primary School in 2nd place in their School Competition – meaning that we have £200 to spend on new school playground equipment.
In the photograph below we have two very proud and excited pupils with Mr Yaqub (Parent Governor) receiving the cheque from Asda’s Kathy:

This year, we were so proud of the 189 children who entered our Easter Bonnet Parade. They showed fantastic enthusiasm and created some eggstra special Easter Bonnets – they really were crackin’!….Shell we stop with the yolks now?
With such tough competition, the judges were in a terrible scramble to choose 1st and 2nd place winners from each class to win prizes (well done to all participants; we hope you enjoyed your chocolate!)
We would like to thank all of the children and families for their time and effort. It makes the eggsperience all that more special for the children when everyone is in the spirit of things.
Here is a snap of our winners…
Teacher training day Monday 8th January 2018. Children are back to school Tuesday 9th January 2018.
In Nursery our topic is Superheroes we have been reading the story Superworm by Julia Donaldson. On Tuesday we went on an little adventure to dig for “real” worms. We have been learning how to keep the worms safe so we do not hurt them. We had a worm bag which contained all the equipment we needed to find the wiggly worms. We used a magnifying glass to look at their tiny hairs that help them to move as we know they don’t have legs. We really enjoyed getting dirty and finding lots of worms.
