Child’s War

23rd September 2019

This term in Upper Key Stage 2, the children have been learning about the topic Child’s War. They have looked at ration books and how food was rationed during the war. This week, the children have had lots of fun making eggless sponge cakes to help them understand rationing and learn various ingredients – they even had a go at measuring the ingredients themselves!
Their next topic will be learning about the Blitz and how children were evacuated to keep them safe. We can’t wait!
